Over my summer blog hiatus, I did manage to make a couple of time lapse videos featuring the A line.
For those of you who don't know, the A line is one of the longest lines in the New York City subway, and includes the longest one-seat ride in the system.
These two videos cover the whole thing, all three branches, and it will take just a few minutes to watch them. Enjoy!

Catch Phrase Montage
If anyone remembers the short-lived ABC series "Pushing Daisies" (I know I do), you'll remember that the character Emerson Cod (played by Chi McBride) had a simple 3-word catch phrase.
Here's a brief montage of Emerson's catch phrase being said in a variety of situations.

Time Lapse Videos
I recently purchased a copy of iTimeLapse for for my iPhone.
Here are two videos I made so far using this app.
First one is called “Times Square to Flushing in 400 Frames.”
Next one is called “A Very Vivacious V Train.”
Look out for more in the future.

A Comment and a Pair of Music Videos
You may have noticed that most of my posts for Unrequited Love Awareness Week have been of music videos. This is somewhat intentional. I made a good number of comments about unrequited love in the posts I wrote last year. You can easily find them, too. If you'll notice at the bottom of this post, there are labels. All of my Unrequited Love Awareness Week posts have "Unrequited Love Awareness Week" as one of their labels. Click on that label to see all of my posts which have that label.
Most of the videos which I have posted are listed in the "In music" section of the unrequited love article on Wikipedia. I feel that they fit the theme of the week.
That having been said, here's another from a female perspective. It's a story which depicts a happy ending, which doesn't always happen, but I am hopeful that it will.
And here's another one from Taylor Swift. What's interesting about this one is that the lyrics refer to a specific person.
With both songs, the gender roles could easily be reversed. More so with "Teardrops" than with "You Belong with Me," especially since the name Drew could refer to either a male or a female (Look at Drew Carey and Drew Barrymore for example).
Another post that's not a music video coming soon.

Weezer - El Scorcho
For me, it's not just the "half-Japanese girls."
Also, it's a bit funny that the sign in the background says, "weerez" then later changes to "weezer."

Tenth Anniversary Video!
Ten years ago, I started a little web site called TransferPoint, on a web server at Queens College. Ten years later, I have taken tens of thousands of photos (OK, it's closer to 20,000, but still an impressive number). This video only goes through a handful of them.
This is also my 40th montage video, and my first one to be presented in WIDESCREEEEEEEEEN!
Enjoy! Oh, one more thing. If you have a high-speed Internet connection, feel free to view it in high quality.

Post #74, Video #36, and Some Box Talk
I am using Post #74 to post Video #36.
It pays tribute to a TV channel I used to watch back in my high school days, The Box. It worked like a jukebox, but you used a 1-900 number to request a video. Of course, I had to use fake phone numbers for the whole thing, but you kinda get the idea of it. I used to get The Box on 3 channels. Channel 17 (only between midnight and 7 AM. Outside of that, the channel had Korean programming), channel 39, and channel 23. The latter was a bit fuzzy at times, since it was based in Cranford. One of my main reasons for getting a VCR was to do what I basically did with my tape recorder. Record videos off the TV.
Speaking of TV, and The Box, I just got myself a Box of a different type: one of those digital TV converter boxes. I like the fact that I can watch shows like The Price is Right and The Big Bang Theory without all the distortion on Channel 2 like I did with the analog receiver. I also like some of the extra channels on digital. For example Channel 4.2 is an NBC-based weather channel, and Channel 25.2 is one that shows you live traffic cameras across the city. (Although every time I've tuned into it recently, it shows the camera at Columbus Circle.)
Then there are the weird things. For example, Channel 5 and Channel 9 are practically sister stations. But Channel 5.2 is basically a simulcast of Channel 9.1, and 9.2 is a simulcast of 5.1. Weird! I guess it's useful if you live outside the range of either one, but since I'm in the range of both, it's kinda redundant.
Anyway, happy channel surfing!

Tuesday's Gone: The A210 Video
My latest video, #35.
It's been a year since my A210 crapped out on me for the last time, which resulted in me getting a μ750 to replace it.
Interesting bit about the song. With the exception of "Take the A Train" and "Crazy Train," I haven't used songs from before the 1990's. "Crazy Train" was used twice (#5, MoD Trip 6/17-19/2004; and #10, the Museum Train Video). "Take the A Train" was used once (#29, 75th Anniversary of the A Line). Interestingly, I made another video about museum trains running on the A line, but I elected to use a different song, and got razzed by it (as I didn't have a version of "Take the A Train" at the time), so I decided to make up for it that time.
Anyway, about the song in Video #35. The song is "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, from the album (pronounced 'lĕh-'nérd 'skin-'nérd). It's quite interesting how I came across it. Last year, I was flipping channels on the FM dial, and I paused at the classic rock station, Q104.3 (while I was about a block away from the nearest Q104 bus stop). I heard the "train" lyric, and thought, "Wow! This would be good for a video!" So, here it is. A year later (I started work on it as soon as I could), a few days late (but not as many as I would have had I worked continuously on it through the original goal of one month after the A210 crapped out on me).
Anyway, enjoy the video.

Next, the winter break video of 2007 has a few.
Finally, one that was posted to the blog a while back, from September 2007.
