For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past week, Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple, Inc., died this past Wednesday. His work changed the way people use computers, changed the way we listen to and buy music, and changes the way we communicate. He truly was an innovator.
As the word of his passing spread (fittingly enough, many people heard the news using a device he created), many people went to Apple retail stores to pay their respects to the man who changed the world.
And I should note that this post, as well as the photos were written and taken using an iPhone, while listening to music on an iPod, and edited on a MacBook. It's only fitting.

I just came home from the Apple Store…
And all I got was this cool-looking T-shirt!
OS X Leopard (10.5) came out today, so I went over to the Apple Store in SoHo to check it out. I tell ya, it looks FREAKIN' AWESOME!
LOL. This shirt will be SO out of style when Mac OS 10.6 comes out!

iTunes Bugs

Well, in case you haven't read the story on iLounge yet, iTunes users (including myself) have been having issues downloading content from the iTunes Store. I made a couple of purchases on Wednesday and they were stuck in download limbo for over 24 hours. It wasn't until yesterday I was able to download them, even though the receipt for my purchase showed up in my e-mail inbox almost immediately after buying it. I also received credit for 5 song downloads from the Store. I wonder how many of these credits they were giving out after this episode. During this fiasco, my opinion on Apple dipped into the red, but it's now back in the black… just barely.
Note in the image (click on it for a larger view), that this credit doesn't expire until 31 December 2099.
I have inserted this countdown timer to tell everyone how much time is left for this credit.
EDIT: I've used up the credit already, but I think it would be fun just to leave it up here.

Weird Sighting. Oh, and Videos!
Last night, I was over at the Apple Store, looking at SubChat, and I notice that the guys at computer next to me were looking at a video from YouTube which I had download, transcoded, and uploaded to my iPod earlier that day.
The video was of an ex-Green Bus Lines bus going through the rollsign readings.
I then noticed them watching the following video.
I thought this was a bit weird.
Speaking of videos, I uploaded one of my own to Google Video, which features download of videos to format compatible with iPod. Since Blogger uses Google account, I figure that I might as well take advantage of the Google account in other ways.
Here's the video. Enjoy.
